In addition to her Growing Up Jazz Keynote Presentation and expanded educational program, Andromeda offers a myriad of professional services including Artistic Direction, professional development and hosting events. Brimming with passion, Andromeda utilizes the arts to further the mission of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Here’s a glimpse at some of her recent projects below.

Andromeda is a Cornell University certified diversity and inclusion professional. Specializing in Arts Organizations, she offers a wide range of DEI consulting across industries.

Andromeda is excited to be hosting Growing Up Jazz on SiriusXM!! Her radio show will feature classic Jazz as well as new composers, and of course some history and behind the scenes knowledge as well.

Growing Up Jazz is now an award winning program! Andromeda received a 2022 Woman of Distinction Award from NY State Assemblyman Chris Burdick and a special recognition from NY State Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins. She later received an additional award from Westchester County Legislator Erika Pierce for her work in teaching Black history through the lens of Jazz with Growing Up Jazz as well as her dedication to her community as the Chair of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the town of Bedford, NY where she resides.

Andromeda Artistic Directed Central Park’s Juneteenth Celebration in Seneca Village by creating six curated performative acts in different areas of the village to bring it to life and create a totally immersive experience for visitors.

HOST | Montclair jazz festival

Andromeda is thrilled to be hosting the Montclair Jazz Festival - the town is near and dear to her heart as Andromeda is a graduate of Montclair High School! She will be the host for Saturday September 10th. Tickets here.

Andromeda was amongst the judging panel for the 2022 How I Fell In Love With Jazz Contest produced by Savage Content. The judging panel included iconic Jazz saxophonist Wayne Shorter, Drummer Steve Jordan, Percussionist Pedrito Martinez and Pianist Emmet Cohen. For more information, click here.

 

Music curator | aquila theater

Andromeda collaborated with Aquila Theater for their 2022 production of The Great Gatsby as Music Supervisor and Curator. Starting with a hand selected playlist from the moment audience members enter the theater and continuing to creating the sound palette and musical selections behind the show, Andromeda is proud to present a multi-generational Jazz experience. Writer | Classical meets jazz

Andromeda presents the program notes for Akua Dixon’s suite, We The People, commissioned by City Music Cleveland for their 2021 season, aptly themed Justice, Equality and Hope. Taking the composers music which spans various Jazz and African American music styles juxtaposed on a traditional Classical string setting, Andromeda gives historical context, bringing listeners deeper into the concert experience. As host for the JazzWomen! Festival at Little Island, Andromeda shaped the narrative and provided historical context for the show. Interviewing guest artists and engaging with the audience, Andromeda elevated the hosting experience to create a fully curated and immersive performance from beginning to end.
